Tuesday, April 23, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. @ Alamance arts

Explore two different dyeing techniques – no experience is required! (see scarf examples here) Silk Artist Pam Spurrier will host this workshop at Alamance Arts. Create two beautiful 8” x 54” silk scarves made with special dyes that require NO steam, heat or chemical setting. The class is targeted for ages 12 and up, but ages 12-17 require a participating adult. Cost is $50 including ALL supplies. Please call to register: 336-226-4495.

Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. @ alamance arts

Create a silk handkerchief (12" x 12") and a silk scarf (8" x 54") using a Sharpie marker technique. The cost is $30 per person, participants must bring their own Sharpies. For the best results, bring Sharpie markers, either fine point or chisel point, in as many colors as you would like.  You may also use Copic markers; however, off brand permanent markers do not work well for this technique. All other materials are provided. Please call to register: 336-226-4495.
