ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES
Be a part of the Alamance Arts Artist Core - a group of local and regional artists with the goal of connecting to the community through promotion of their art. Artist memberships become “effective” the date they become live on our website and are not limited to visual artists. An Artist Core Membership offers the benefit of being listed on a live, regularly updated document that will be housed on alamancearts.org. Alamance Arts frequently receives requests for recommendations of artists, and this directory will serve as our tool and one for the community to locate talent. In addition, you’ll have increased visibility through our website. (Which in 2024 had 49,000 unique visitors.) And, you can use your membership to help elevate your portfolio.
PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND READ THE ARTIST CORE AGREEMENT PRIOR TO CHECK OUT
*Note that processing times for launch may be extended, as the directory will not be published until a minimum number of artists have signed up to participate. Your membership will not go into effect until the day the membership goes live on alamancearts.org. Memberships are effective for one year once they go live.
VENDOR APPLICATIONS OPEN - CITY OF BURLINGTON HOLIDAY MARKET
Downtown Holiday Market & Tree Lighting
Saturday, November 28 (Small Business Saturday)
2pm-6pm
Downtown Burlington
This festive event will combine Burlington's annual Tree Lighting celebration with a new Downtown Holiday Market designed to bring shoppers and families into the heart of downtown as they kick off the holiday season.
Rather than one centralized vendor area, artisan vendors will be thoughtfully placed in small market pockets throughout downtown. This layout is designed to encourage visitors to explore the entire downtown district while supporting our local businesses and discovering unique handmade gifts along the way.
In addition to holiday shopping, the event will feature:
Pop-up performances from local musicians throughout downtown
Photos with Santa at the Historic Depot
The community Tree Lighting ceremony
Visitors celebrating Small Business Saturday in Downtown Burlington
If you're looking for a great opportunity to showcase your handmade products during the holiday shopping season, we'd love to have you join us!
Applications are now open, and space is limited.
Vendor Fees (will only be due upon acceptance):
10x10 space- $50
10x20 space- $65

Important Notice Regarding Vendor Scams
Unfortunately, fraudulent social media accounts and individuals posing as event organizers have become increasingly common. Please be aware that the City of Burlington will never request vendor payments through Facebook comments, Facebook Messenger, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or any other personal payment method.
All official event communication will come from a @burlingtonnc.gov email address, and all vendor registration fees will be processed only through the City of Burlington's CivicRec registration portal.
